During this conference the topic on the Bail Out of Greece and other countries will be discussed, but also the Bail-out in a broader perspective. That is important, certainly from the Liberal point of view, because this illustrates that the government(s) more and more want to intervene in the free market and that the government will play a bigger role for the supervisors (with all the restrictive consequences for our prosperity).
Hence there will be made a comparison between free market economics and extensive market regulation. The pro’s and con’s of regulations will be discussed.
Examples of regulations that can be touched on, are the Frank Dodd Act and the BIS regulations for banks.
In this context the following question can be posed: How constraining is the European regulation?
Additionally the possibility for the banks ‘to opt out’ should be discussed
or the possibility for banks to become a non-regulated entity.
This discussion could illustrate how obstructive regulation could become.
We are also pleased to inform you that Dr Brendan Brown, who will be a speaker during this conference, has just published his new book titled "Euro Crash". For more information we invite you to click here.
