Johnny Appleseed, an 18th-century American gentleman by the real name of John Chapman, was famous for traveling throughout the frontier, a bag of apple seeds at his side, planting seeds and creating apple orchards as he moved along – leaving a legacy of sweet fruit for pioneers who would follow.
We think that Johnny Appleseed is an appropriate metaphor for ISIL's work as we expand around the globe, holding world conferences – planting seeds of liberty, and assisting heroic individuals as they struggle to form new
free-market/libertarian movements (often in difficult or dangerous environments).
Your donations to ISIL, whose roots go back to the beginning of the modern libertarian movement in 1969, are vital in helping us find and nurture these unique individuals – particularly in the developing world.
So, if you are not yet a member of ISIL, we invite you to join and support our work to build a freer more peaceful world.
If you are a member, we invite you to upgrade your membership, support projects like student scholarships to world conferences, the Jonathan Gullible book project – or join our monthly pledge program.
Donations or memberships may be made online.
