English is the international language of commerce and political, scientific and commercial discourse. Fluency in English is necessary for personal and professional success all over the world.

     The mission of the Liberty English Camps is to support and assist organizations and individuals (with special emphasis on reaching students) in countries that are recovering from tyranny and attempting to develop the institutions of free societies, by means of English-language education.

     The camps which began in 1993 in Lithuania have typically drawn between 40 and 50 students from Central and Eastern Europe.

     This year camps are planned for Lithuania and Slovakia with others tentatively planned for Poland, Azerbaijan, and Ghana (pending funding)

     We will have more specifics on each of the camps in the coming weeks. In the meantime there's more information on the camps and the organizational team on the Language of Liberty Institute website.

     We encourage you to help with donations to support these camps. Each costs $20,000 to organize but registrations (geared to the abilities of students to participate) cover only half the costs.
